Overview
A trend-pullback strategy using Keltner Channels (an EMA with ATR-based bands). In an established trend, it buys pullbacks to the channel midline (EMA) and rides continuation to the outer band, blending trend-following with volatility-aware entries.
Features
- Keltner Channels (EMA20, 2 × ATR14)
- EMA50 for higher trend context
- ATR(14)
- Configurable stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing logic
- Session, spread, and news-time filters for disciplined execution
- One-trade-per-bar / duplicate-signal protection
- Clean, single-file MQL4 and MQL5 implementations
- No hidden logic — every input is exposed and documented
- No martingale, no grid, no hidden recovery logic
Trading Strategy
Entry logic: – Uptrend: price above EMA50 and channel sloping up. Long when price pulls back to the Keltner midline (EMA20) and prints a bullish close. Enter on close.
- Downtrend: mirror — short pullbacks to the midline in a down-sloping channel.
Exit logic: – Exit at the outer band (upper for longs / lower for shorts) or when price closes beyond the opposite midline.
Stop-loss: SL beyond the lower band (long) / upper band (short) or 1.5 × ATR, whichever is tighter.
Take-profit: TP at the outer band; scale 50% at the band, trail the rest.
Trailing stop: Trail along the Keltner midline (EMA20) each closed bar.
Break-even: Break-even at 1R.
Why it works: Buys value within trends (better R:R than chasing).; Volatility-adaptive bands..
