Short Description:
Asian Range Fade EA is a fully automated range trading / mean reversion. Expert Advisor for MT4 and MT5. A mean-reversion strategy that exploits the tight, low-volatility Asian session range. Built-in risk controls and market filters keep execution disciplined across live and demo accounts.
Overview
A mean-reversion strategy that exploits the tight, low-volatility Asian session range. It fades touches of the range boundaries back toward the midpoint, profiting from the range-bound behavior that typically dominates before the London open.
Features
- Asian session high/low box
- Bollinger Bands (20, 2) for boundary confirmation
- RSI(14)
- Configurable stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing logic
- Session, spread, and news-time filters for disciplined execution
- One-trade-per-bar / duplicate-signal protection
- Clean, single-file MQL4 and MQL5 implementations
- No hidden logic — every input is exposed and documented
- No martingale, no grid, no hidden recovery logic
Trading Strategy
Entry logic: – Build the Asian range (e.g., 00:00-06:00 broker/London time).
- Long: price tags the range low / lower Bollinger band with RSI < 30, then a bullish rejection candle. Enter toward the midpoint.
- Short: price tags the range high / upper band with RSI > 70 and bearish rejection.
Exit logic: – Exit at the range midpoint (primary) or opposite boundary (extended). Close all before London open.
Stop-loss: SL just beyond the range boundary (below the low / above the high) plus a small buffer.
Take-profit: TP at the midpoint for the first target; opposite boundary for a runner.
Trailing stop: Minimal; optional break-even once midpoint is approached.
Break-even: Break-even after price travels 50% of the distance to the midpoint.
Why it works: Frequent setups with high win rate in quiet regimes.; Well-defined, mechanical range logic..

- Spread filter: Reject if spread > 1.5 pips; Asian spreads can widen, killing thin edges.
- News filter: Avoid entries around Asian/AUD/JPY news; pause 20 minutes.
- Volatility filter: Require ATR to be low (below its 100-period average) — the edge exists only in quiet ranges.
